David Lyon, born 1818 in Montrose, Forfarshire, Scotland to Joseph Lyon, a Glasgow-born weaver, and Mary Thomson. He was seventh of their eight children (at least as far as my research can confirm). He’s my g-g-grandfather through my mother’s mother’s father’s side.
Went looking for him in the 1841 census today to try to consolidate all the information I have on him. I already have him in 1851, 1861 and 1871.
